The Zero-Knowledge Promise

We build trust through transparency and technical rigor. Here is how we ensure your communications remain private.

End-to-End Encryption

Your data is encrypted on your device before it ever reaches our servers. We do not hold the keys to decrypt your messages, meaning we physically cannot read your emails even if compelled to.

Zero Tracking Policy

We are funded by your subscription, not by advertisers. There are zero pixels, zero trackers, and zero analytics scripts scanning your inbox content.

Data Residency Control

Compliance requirements vary by region. Choose exactly where your data lives—our secure facilities in Virginia (US) or Frankfurt (EU)—to meet GDPR or CCPA needs.

Hardware 2FA Support

SMS verification is vulnerable. Secure your account with industry-standard hardware keys (YubiKey, Titan) or TOTP authenticator apps.

Defense in Depth

  • Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3)

All connections to our servers are encrypted in transit.

  • Encryption at Rest

Databases are encrypted on disk using AES-256.

  • Open Source Cryptography

We use battle-tested, open libraries (OpenPGP.js, Sodium) rather than proprietary "black box" code.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our security architecture.

Can Inverx reset my password if I lose it?
No. Because we use zero-knowledge encryption, your password is the key to decrypt your data. We never store your password in plain text or have access to your private keys. If you lose your password and recovery code, your data is irretrievable, even by us.
How do you handle government data requests?
If legally compelled, we can only turn over the encrypted blob of data we have. Since we do not possess the decryption keys, we cannot provide readable emails to any third party, government or otherwise.
Is Inverx open source?
Our client-side cryptographic libraries are open source, allowing independent auditors to verify that encryption happens exactly as we claim before data leaves your browser.
